ARTISTS IN FILM
In collaboration with the Babylon Cinema the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee shows the film series In Film.
After the past series Architectur in Film and Photography in Film, from May 29th to July 3rd 2008 the Babylon showed Artists in Film. There was an introduction bevor every film and a discussion afterwards.
The films chosen to be showed were: Basquiat by Julian Schnabel, Love is the Devil by John Maybury, Pollock by Ed Harris, Frida by Julie Taymor, Camille Claudel by Bruno Nuytten and Vincent and Theo by Robert Altman.
We made the poster campaign and a trailer for the series, as well as trailers for every film. Quotes from the films about prejudices and clichés of the lives and work of artists where the plug for the design.
The posters are silk-screen-printed by using a ciphering of the quotes which is completed every week with an additional color while making unreadable the past ones.
On the website im-film.info will soon be a summary of the whole event where you will also find the trailers and all the info, including the introductions.
